I did everything like 5-7 Times now on my Macbook M3 MacOs 14.6.1 and i have followed all the tips and the steps in the comments here and in the downloaded File, sometimes with central directly from waves and a few times with the central from here. with Rosetta and the generated License file. it still doesnt work in the end. In the download file it also says that it does not work for Silicon Macs. so I have to live with my purchased plugins😪

After installation, run Logic in Rosetta for M3.. and Silicon Macs.

Right click on "Logic Pro" in application folder and click on "Get info".
    Click on "Open using Rosetta".
    Launch Logic.
Demo mode should be disabled and all plugins should be working after.

Took like 3 days but finally got there. Running macOS Sonoma M3

    1. Remove all waves https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/uninstall-waves-plugins-mac/
    2. Only download “Patched & Keygen Only-RET” file in the link above
    3. Install waves central straight of official website
    4 .Login or create user
    5. Go to settings in waves and Change default license to Macintosh HD & fix permission and ownership
    6. Install what plugins you want (I installed waves ultimate. Change sample library folder to your SSD Drive in settings before download to save space)
    7. Quit waves central and turn internet OFF
    8. Replace "WavesLicenseEngine" in /Library/Application/Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/ Contents/MacOS/
    9. Terminal commands separately

    sudo chmod +x /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/WavesLicenseEngine

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle/Contents/MacOS/WavesLicenseEngine

    xattr -cr /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Application\ Support/Waves/Modules/WavesLicenseEngine.bundle

    10. (Only if you installed COSMOS). Replace "index.js" in /Library/Application Support/Waves/COSMOS/HTML/
    11. (Only if you installed COSMOS). Replace "app.asar" in /Applications/Waves/COSMOS/COSMOS.app/Contents/Resources/
    12. Run waves keygen on a windows pc or with crossover on Mac. Create license with Device Name and ID as shown in Waves Central Licenses tab. Type: comp
    13. Drop the .WLE generated license file here: Library>Application Support>Waves> Licenses
    14. Restart Mac
    15. Run waves au reg utility in Application/Waves/WavesShells v15
    16. Open logic and let them scaaaan!

NOTE: Im sure there are steps in here that aren't necessary but this is what worked for me.

EXTRA: Disable waves startup items and probably don’t need waves central anymore

you dont have to turn it into a exec file.. just replace it with the one in the mac patched folder.. after that run the sudo commands separately in terminal (sentence by sentence) then use and extract the keygen file and place it into your license file in: Library>Application Support>Waves> Licenses.

restart your mac and youre good to go.

its in the macos folder.. dont go into the exec file with wle exec in it.. just replace the waves license engine file on the macos folder. it will turn into a exec on its on volition.

Thanks for this but still no luck. Should you make mac your "default license device in waves central settings? Also when generating keygen with device name & ID, are you generating "comp" or "key"?

Also, should you be logging into waves central ? or entire installation with internet OFF

I did the installation with WiFi off, and and your device code should be on waves central under devices or licenses or some like that and I think I did default, you might have to delete all plugins and stuff on waves central and just start at step one , that’s what I did
